Back again, wish I'd ever left

Hello all, I am back again, even though I really never left. I've been on a couple of daytrips, mostly to Wyoming, but nothing world shattering. Really I wish I could say that I've been so busy and exhausted with work that I haven't found the time and energy simultaneously to post. This however is not the case as I haven't managed to gain any manner of employment at all as of yet. I'm still trying, but I am despairing slightly. As far as friends go, mine all seem to be doing well and we've all been keeping in touch, some more than others. Anyhow, at the moment, I am rather tired and am going to go do something requiring less, or at least different, mental capacity than attempting to post a coherent summary of life.

Summer

While I am assured it is still technically Spring, it's summer. The weather's warm and bright, school's out, and I'm looking for a summer job. Notice they're called Summer jobs, not Spring jobs, so I obviously wouldn't go looking for one in the Spring, that'd just be silly. Therefore, I say again, it's Summer. I baked a lot of cookies a couple nights ago, that was kinda odd: I didn't need to, we didn't need the cookies, I just kinda kept going, till I killed off box #2. I played soccer today, that was fun. After that, I sat around and yakked with a friend, who still claims he's not talkative, and while I believe him, it's an amusing claim to make considering we sat and did nothing more than talk for quite a while. So, yeah, I'ma gonna go get a soda now, because as late as I've been sleeping, I shouldn't go to bed this early.

Blog?

I just had a mild OS moment: someone commented about something I'd blogged, and it took me a moment to remember that I had a blog. Yes, summer is here. That means all sorts of things, no classes, warm weather, specific to this summer it means college crud is crescendoing and I need to find a job. It also means my life just lost most semblance of structure. That means it just got a lot harder to remember to update this. Well. Crud. Anyhow: I graduated. I'm no longer in high school and have a diploma, hooray hooray. On an entirely different note, I just got home from seeing Prince Caspian. It was good movie and I enjoyed it much more than The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe which I also enjoyed greatly. Much darker than the previous Narnia movie, which is expected having read the books. I think I very well might go to bed now.

There's always a reason

I haven't posted for a while, and with, well, semi-good reason. I didn't post the 6th because I was studying my but off for my AP Calculus BC test. Wednesday and Thursday night that week were also spent studying for tests, my finals to be specific. Those all came and went sans hitch. I didn't post that weekend because I'm lazy and I procrastinate: bugg off. However, I didn't post this Tuesday because I had no net access. I had no net access from Sunday afternoon to Wednesday afternoon because I was on the senior trip, which was comprised of a lot of shopping considering upwards of 83% of the senior class is male. And apparently we all like manga as the entire senior class wound up crammed into the manga aisle at each bookstore we went to without trying or planning to. Oh, and the moral of the story is: hotel's don't want you to have any fun, so be very well prepared to hack a tv.

Ultralive

*ahem* FINALS!!!!!1!!SHIFT+1!!! Yeah, they're evil and they're coming. Here's the rundown; Christian Apologetics: not worried and will only need to study a little, Chemistry: not worried but will need to study a lot, Calculus: worried about the final somewhat and will need to study a lot, Economics: no real final, just a test over chapters 3 and 4, Art: Final project instead of tradtitional final is sucking my will to live, but probably won't end up all that hard methinks: just paper and big Escher-like drawing, P.E.: I hope we still run to starbucks: that's tradition. Oh and then there's the reason I'm only somewhat worried about the Calc final: I get to take the BC AP Calc test the day before my 2-day final. EXPLETIVE!!! So, yeah. Oh and there's the whole college thing that's been incessantly gnawing at my ming for about 1.5 years now and the prospect of seeking employment looming closer. But, none-the-less, I am Ultralive ;)

This is new

I distinctly remember intending to blog yesterday. It was a little while after I'd been home, or a little while after supper, not sure which, and then I promptly went on to do something else that I'm sure was a good use of my time and forgot about blogging. Prom was last friday night: those who went got to enjoy the Carousel theatre's rendition of Carousel. The after prom party at a friends house was the crown of the night though in my opinion. (Then again I went because I had to and went alone so...) I thank the host family for again for the delicious food (if you've never had butterscotch pancakes: try them, I believe they are delicious) and letting us use their house, and being incredibly amicable about the whole thing. We're getting certified for CPR and some 1st-aid in P.E. this week. 2:30 is the golden rule for everyone, though I have trouble finding the correct place to apply compressions. I blame this on my chest. For those of you who don't know, I have a concave chest, which means that my chest forms a bowl or a convenient can-holder if I slouch right. Summer is soooo here. Yeah yeah, it may or may not be here according to the calendar, I don't know and don't care, the weather is great and seems to be finally looking to stay. (course, now that I've said this it's going to snow tomorrow night) I detest biographical reports. No ones life is so interesting as to deserve a report upon it. The only exceptions for this that come to mind are some biblical characters. This is because their lives have become stories for instruction. Most people's lives aren't and wouldn't work well for that anyways. Now some will say that there are folks who made important contributions or drastically changed the course of history that are report worthy. To the first, I agree that many people have made important contributions to the world, so write about the contribution not the person. People as just people are really rather dull: we're capable of the incredible but are usually crap, and we know it. To the second: if your religious, there's likely one person who has made a larger change to history than anyone else could. In Christianity, these people showed up and were recorded in the Bible, with it all leading up to Christ who changed the world more profoundly than anyone else ever will. If you are not religious or do not believe in any higher power, changes in history are subjective and there can't really be any that are more worth writing about than others, besides, even here it's still the change in history that is interesting in most cases, not the person. The only exceptions I would agree about outside people whose lives were genuinely interesting, but interesting is a subjective observation. So, yeah, I'm fed up with art class at the moment: as cool as M. C. Escher's art is, his life? so dull. Why do we care about the artist anyhow? Isn't it the art that got them recognized, isn't the art what we actually care about? What is this report about artists and their usually dull, occaisionally R-rated, lives actually for? (there are only 2 people who are older than 17 and one of them is particularly disgusted by some of her artist's work: it's not something she would've exposed herself to normally and wishes the class hadn't forced it on her, unless I miss my guess) While, some may say it will develop my writing skills, that is something for an english class, not an art class. If you have any insight, please leave a comment, if you think I'm off my rocker and out of line, well firstly, your probably not a proponent of free speech, and secondly, please comment: you'll likely provide amusement for my "rocker-less" mind.

Nrrrg...

So: prom is tomorrow. Hooray. Soon people will go back to normal and take the elevated stupidity levels with them. I had lunch duty today: same ol same ol chili. It's still yummy as ever. So, now that I've managed to drag myself from my reverie, I'm going to brush my hair as it's after 10.

Hrrrrrm...

Tues came and went sans blogging again. I think it will still be the "official" update day, but I obviously am not able to hold myself to it strictly at this point in time. Last night I had much more important things than blogging anyhow and didn't get back till early today. I brawled for a good 7 hours last night, minus the break we took to watch Advent Children. Somewhere along the way I picked up Zelda. I'm not sure when this happened. It's more than the fact that I'm good with spamming fireball, I can do the other stuff too, though I'm having to get used to the fact that Neutral-B got nerfed from melee. i'm still legendary with Marth, I didn't use Samus much because that's one of my friends preferred characters and I've got several to choose from, Kirby got passed on for similar reasons, not that he got used much, it's just that whenever I was in the mood for him, someone else had grabbed him and I get confused on who's who as is. Next run on please :) Ike got some fight-time, don't think I won with him, but I believe I caused others some nightmares, Ice Climbers and Pikachu got used for old times sake, I'm suprisingly good with Pikachu and it bugs me. I mayhaps found a way to deal with teh 50N1C problem: 5H31K. Speed, close-combat, a chargeable (kinda) ranged move, and other niftiness is seeming like a good thing to do when I end up 1v1-ing that blasted Hedgehog. Are hedgehogs rodents? The Pirate Ship is my favorite stage for the right half of my stable: awesome music, great atmosphere, just a good place for swashbuckling. New Pork City, despite our initial bemoanings, is a fun stage, and alright for my newfound talent. Eldin is good for my 2nd good Character: it's a flat stage with some twists, much better than the new Final Destination which was shrunk a wee bit much. Spear Pillar is another fun place, though it's not actually that good for any of my characters and the boomeragns are annoying. So, there's my Brawl rant. Oh: I'm on Spring Break!

Edit: so, this was "posted" last Wednesday, but due to a problem I didn't notice till now, I don't believe it showed up.

hehe, whoops

Well, tuesday came and went again. Slightly legitimate excuse for missing updating is that I attended a scholarship banquet for UW. Basically they said not only are we a great school: we are rakin in the dough and we're willing to give you some to attend, plus you'll benefit from cutting edge equipment. So yeah, that was kinda interesting, and may have swayed me away from CSU. Really need to see what CSU is offering first but I'm betting they can't compete. Also heard that they're not giving out as many scholarships past freshman year. We finished the spring play last weekend. It went well and was very funny. The play was *deep breath* The Marquis Crossing Ladies Society First Attempt at Murder. Quite humorous. The underclassmen+Juniors are taking Stanford 10 tests today (suckers) so I've got this morning off, as well as yesterday afternoon. Apparently, my blog is slowly spreading around teh RL. It's rather wierd, especially since people seem so hesitant to reveal their sources. It's a spirit week this week at school. Somehow, lack of inspection on the part of the office I suspect, Student Council got Crossdressing day passed at school for Monday. I wore a nice black skirt/dress thingy. It was really rather comfy and warm. Tuesday was Oldies day which I never participate in because it would require a DC 5 Knowledge:Fashion History check which I am cursed to roll low for. Though, with what some people have theorized as my INT score, failing shouldn't be possible. Wednesday was clash day which I abstained from for the same reason. Today will be crazy hair day. My hairstylist (pillow) has made sure I'm plenty ready. Now, back to projects of which thou shalt not be apprised of!

Later has come

Johnson's Corner: World Famous cinnamon rolls. I'm sure there are biohazard signs on the kitchen doors: anything that good can't be healthy. Yes the regret came, and left, and I still remember a good cinnamon roll and I won't be hungry for a while. IYF Travis, try standing a bit closer to the edge: you'll get a better view. Calc=Evil. Mathematically true, I'm sure of it. Chem is just hard, not evil. Oh and the crazy ideas are coming much faster now: I acted on one today, not sure why. We need to finish the sky lights up better: I'm not so good at that part. I'm really superfluous: anyone could learn the job I do: it's not very hard. I just weave a lot of bravado into it ;)

Heeey, that's convenient

So, I didn't post last week. Obviously, none of you are suprised: I've not posted for months at a time. BUT! this time, I have a legitimate cop out! Not only did I honestly forget about the blog again (shush, not funny), but I was grounded last week. Yeah, as fun as Super Smash Bros Brawl and random internet flash games are, if your mother/math teacher says: you have a test this day, I want all the hw for the chapter before you start, then she's gonna be awfully irked when you say yous ain't ready. Thursday night was sooo good though. Brawl, cookies, pizza, Matrix, friends, skittles, friends who don't like skittles leaving more for you, awkward moments, yeah, that's a good night. Now if only some of these people can be convinced that going to bed at 9 AM isn't as bad as your body will tell you. (Seriously, that whole nauseated, feel like I've run 5 marathons, muscles don't work properly, eyes have sandpaper rubbing them feeling? It can be gotten used to) Oh, and today sucked :)

Oh, it's Wednesday

See, I was going to try to post every tuesday. Obviously, plan a has already run into difficulty. I"m also seeing other problems: there was something really funny that happened last wednesday, and I was going to blog it. There was something really cool that happened last thurs, and I was going to blog it. Those events have vacated my RAM. Something important also vacated my RAM today, not sure what it was, but I know it was something I forgot. I've also forgotten what my third injury from the basketball season was, what I ate for dinner sunday, and the other thing I was going to put on this list. Does Alzheimers ever strike early? Friday night was good though: hung out with some friends and played Rockband and watched transformers (the movie). Then went to a different friends house for the night and played dnd. Voila, there's what I remember from my life.

Get to it.

So, short story short: I had a good weekend, played Dnd (Dungeons and Dragons for you uneducated non-heathens) friday night/saturday morning, spent too much of the rest of the weekend sleeping. I say too much as I'm rather behind in calc but have a plan to catch up which will require me really buckling down, hence the short story. Basketball season is over (hooray, but I'm sad one of our co-captains didn't get to play in the last game) which will free up a lot of time. Now let's see if I can keep the evil distractions from eating up this newfound time. and I need more vault...

I'm updating, happy?

It would serve you ALL right if I didn't actually type anything besides the title. Anyhow, yeah, my last post was along time ago. Christmas and the New Year came and went with Thanksgiving before them. So, brief overview: I was in a play for my school, it went well and people still like my voice for reasons I don't understand. Christmas was spent at home and enjoyed. The family has been graced by a Wii which I wish I could allow to eat more of my time. I enjoyed new years, but I have no clue what movies I watched that night. All well. My brother's birthday came and went, he wasn't the happiest about it, he wanted a party and didn't get one. He did like the presents he got though (even if they weren't "100", he still liked them). Now it's nearly the end of Feb, nearly the end of basketball. Thank goodness. So, there's the overview of my last blog-free 6-months. Now, back to Calc : \
